Terms & Conditions
How our engagements work: scope, payment, ownership, revisions and the limits of our liability.
This is a starting point drafted for Buraq Tech LLC, not legal advice. Have it reviewed by a qualified attorney before you rely on it.
Scope of work
Every engagement is governed by a written proposal specifying the deliverables, the timeline and the price. Work falling outside that proposal is quoted separately and approved in writing before it begins.
Where a change materially affects cost or timeline, you receive a written change note stating the impact. Work on that change starts only once you approve it.
Payment
Unless agreed otherwise, projects are invoiced with a deposit before work starts and the balance on delivery. Larger projects may be split into milestone payments set out in the proposal.
Retainer services are invoiced monthly in advance. Invoices are due within the period stated on the invoice.
Intellectual property
On receipt of final payment, ownership of the project deliverables — source code, repository and editable design files — transfers to the client.
Until final payment is received, all work remains the property of Buraq Tech LLC. We retain the right to reference completed work in our portfolio unless a confidentiality agreement says otherwise.
Client responsibilities
Projects depend on timely input. You agree to provide content, access, feedback and approvals within the timeframes set out in the proposal. Delays in these may move the delivery date.
Revisions
Each project includes a defined number of revision rounds, stated in the proposal. Additional rounds are quoted and approved before being carried out.
Warranty and support
We correct defects in our work free of charge for 30 days after launch. This covers faults in what we built; it does not cover new features, third-party service changes, or issues caused by edits made by others.
Limitation of liability
Our total liability for any engagement is limited to the fees paid for that engagement. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses including lost profits or lost data.
Termination
Either party may terminate an engagement in writing. You remain liable for work completed up to the termination date, and we will hand over all completed deliverables for which payment has been received.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Buraq Tech LLC is registered.
